Company Overview

OHSU’s School of Nursing was looking to create a scenario-based interactive learning tool. The tool will show a virtual neighborhood with images, short video clips, and case studies to help students collect and review information for mock-diagnosis. The goal is to provide simulations of patient scenarios to identify illnesses and diseases based on the information presented over the course of the 3-year learning term. This project is currently in development.

Solution

We are leveraging our expertise with JQuery to design and build a prototype system to simulate a geographical area where a student can select from a pre-defined set of locations. Each location provides a case scenario module (or training scenario) where the student would review one or more virtual patients and conduct discovery processes to identify symptoms for an illness or disease.

Results

The site is currently on-hold waiting for funding.
