Kettle Chips Promotional Sites
Company Overview
The potato chip may be the most common snack in America, but Kettle Brand® Potato Chips are anything but common. It all began with a vision and a van---a vision to fuse the natural with the savory, to create a great tasting, wholesome product for everyone. And a beat-up van that would later be known as the original Kettle Foods delivery truck.
Opportunity
Kettle was looking to launch two promotional websites to bring attention to their overall commitment to fresh, healthful products and their new line of baked potato chips. They engaged Maxwell PR, a boutique Portland Oregon PR firm, to put together a comprehensive marketing strategy, and Swipht Technologies to handle the technical implementation for Kettle Snackback and Kettle Pledge.
Solution
Kettle Snackback Guarantee
Swipht Technologies partnered with Maxwell PR and Fancypants Design to put together www.kettlesnackback.com, a site to promote Kettle's Baked Potato Chips. The site also offered a guarantee that customers would like the baked chips as much as their original chips and if they did not, they could fill out a form and receive a coupon for a free bag of original chips. The form implementation includes user-friendly validation, a reverse captcha to prevent malicious bots from submitting the form but allowing real users to submit the form with fewer road blocks. Tracking code from WebTrends was included in each web page. All form submissions that opt-in to hearing more from Kettle are automatically entered to the appropriate lists within Kettle's eROI database.

Kettle's Pledge to say NO
Swipht Technologies teamed up again with Maxwell PR and Fancypants Design to create www.kettlepledge.com for customers to pledge their belief in eating well and get others to join their commitment to healthy and delicious snack options. The site was created for customers to join the pledge and receive a coupon for $1 off a back of Kettle Baked Potato Chips. The form implementation includes a reverse captcha, and all opt-in form submissions are automatically entered to the appropriate lists within Kettle's eROI database. Tracking code from WebTrends was included in each web page. After submitting the form, the user clicks a link to a third party coupon service for a printable coupon to be redeemed at their local grocery store.

Results
The promotional websites have performed well and exceeded expectations. The quota for printable coupons was reached earlier than expected.
