One of the fastest growing towns in Oregon and one of the most livable cities, the City of Sherwood is attractive to many. A suburban, family-oriented community, Sherwood is not far from the commercial bustle of Portland. It is also conveniently located on Highway 99W, between Tigard and Newberg, an important transportation triangle in south Washington County, Oregon.

Opportunity

The City of Sherwood was seeking a web application company to redesign their website using a robust and scalable Content Management Solution (CMS). Their overarching goal was to improve the city’s ability to support its employees and constituents by leveraging a more dynamic technology to provide accurate services and information. In addition, another goal was a site redesign that incorporated a new interface and information architecture scaled to meet both the site’s current and future information load.

Solution

Swipht recommended a Drupal solution to meet The City’s CMS requirements. Because the Drupal community is committed to creating and sharing modules, the majority of The City’s requirements were able to be met out of the box with little customization. This project launched in October 2009
