This session was dedicated to how a company like Swipht could take advantage of local and hyperlocal searching that users are doing more of each day. But local search entails much more than that, and, as the 3 presenters explained, local search can transform a business.

Alright, a more technical session. So far SearchFest 09 has done a really good job of getting talented people in the search sphere. First, let's start with the rel attribute. According to the W3C, the rel attribute describes the relationship of the current document to the linked one. Most common use of the rel attribute is for css: <link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/styles.css" /> That's saying /css/styles.css is the stylesheet for this page. Easy, right? There are many other relationships, which can be found on the W3C site.
