Au Pair Care is the leading au pair agency providing dependable in home au pair childcare services to American families. Designated by the U.S. Department of State since 1989, Au PairCare is a division of Intrax Cultural Exchange, a family of organizations devoted to cultivating international understanding through cultural exchange and educational travel, with operations in over 80 countries worldwide.

Opportunity

The Au Pair website has preformed well, but it is in need of a redesign and a more robust content management system. Drupal is the CMS of choice and the site will feature many of the community and custom modules that we have developed on other projects.

Swipht will incorporate new Drupal Themes along with modules to manage FAQs and testimonials, a Video Gallery, Wordflow integration, webforms, Search Engine Optimization, just to name a few.

Results

The new Au Pair Care website successfully launched in mid-January 2010. The site has been completely redesigned from the ground up and features Drupal’s content management system with many additional benefits for both front and backend users.

“All the effort your team put into this project has been unbelievable! I truly enjoyed working with Meghan (Swipht’s Client Services Director) and we now have a website that everyone goes “WOW, THAT’S GREAT!” says Maria Pentkovski, Senior Web Development Manager at Intrax Cultural Exchange, the parent company of Au Pair Care.

Many of the site’s features were accomplished with community Drupal modules which helped keep costs down. However, Swipht built some custom modules for functionality that was not able to be accomplished with the contributed modules and we are looking forward to offering those back to the community as soon as we can. We again used our “Badges” technique to share content among different sections of the site as well as incorporating FAQs and testimonials, a Video Gallery, Workflow integration, webforms, and Search Engine Optimization into the final solution.

We will continue to work with AuPair Care to improve their site on a regular basis. “I hope to have more projects for us to work on together.
